The Journey Begins
A little over a week ago, Nathan, Jordan and I had the opportunity to attend an event at Third Monday Trade Daysin McKinney, TX.
We joined author T.L. Wood on Saturday while she promoted her newest book, Search for the Lost Kingdom.
The event was a success. We braved the heat and met many new fans. A special thank you to everyone who showed up.

I Miss the Twilight Zone
I'm not old enough to have watched the originals. Not even close.
I enjoyed the reruns, though. The Sci-Fi channel always did a good job of running marathons, and Id record dozens, and spend countless hours in utter bliss. Ive long since abandoned TV (yup, havent watched in nearly a year), but I do miss one thing:
The Twilight Zone.
Movie Review: Paranormal Activity
I went into Paranormal Activity a bit grumpy. Ill admit, it was just one of those nights. I had a bad attitude and merely looking to pass the time, although I had been wanting to watch Paranormal Activity for some time.
I usually dont watch movies in the theaters, and it was the same with Paranormal Activity. I like the comfort of my homethe ability to push pause. So, I turned off the lights and began watching.
Dogs sleeping on the floor.
Wife sleeping upstairs.
Drink in hand.
Volume up.
As I said, I was in a grumpy mood. Within the first five minutes, I began criticizing the movie.
Bad acting.
Bad dialogue.
Not that scary.
But, wait a minute . . .
Um, whats she doing?
Why is she just standing there looking at him?
Thats not right . . .
What!!! A demon can pull you from bed??
I think it was at this point I called the dogs onto the couch. They did so hesitantly, as I dont normally allow that.
Paranormal Activity was really good, especially for a low budget movie.
Movie Review: City of Ember
This movie was one of the best Ive seen all year.
The plot was great. Mankind is on the verge of destructionI believe the movie referred to nukes going off. With limited time, scientists set up an underground city, Ember, and insert a chosen group of people to live while the rest of the planet dies off. They set up the ultimate communitya fully functioning cityalong with instructions in a time capsule, set to open at a later date.
